Why Wide-Temp matters
We may sit in air conditioned offices, but our equipment doesn't always. Just by being in a cabinet, your Ethernet switch experiences temperatures 10°C warmer than the surrounding air - more if there are other devices and multiple power supplies inside. Industrial enclosures near motors or drives get even hotter. If the sun hits the enclosure, it can be like the inside of your car on a summer day with the windows up.
